Wards Total Vehicle Sales for September – Bloomberg consensus: 15.60m(e) v 15.19m prior

Industry consultants J.D. Power and LMC Automotive saidThe seasonally adjusted annualized rate (SAAR) for total sales is expected to be 15.7 million units, down 1.6 million units from a year ago.” In the meantime, Wards Intelligence expects sales to reach 16.2 million SAAR.

Change in nonfarm payrolls for September – Bloomberg consensus: 850k(e) v 1371k prior

In its monthly report for September, Homebase pointed to “a decline in the number of employees working for the first time since the onset of the pandemic, ending a 6-month period of upward trajectory for small businesses.

 

Bill McBride recently highlighted that “September employment report will show a decrease of 41,403 temporary Census workers“.
